Vincent Pasquale Barabba was born September 6, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Elvira (Tucci) Barabba. He received a BBA from Woodbury Business College in 1954; a BS from California State University at Northridge in 1962; and a MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1964. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Barabba was director of the Bureau of the Census from 1973 through 1976 and 1979 through 1981.
