Part 1, a Piper Cub airplane is landed at the Quantico (Va.) Marine base and presented to a contest-winning Marine Corps private. Part 2, Sec. of the Navy Knox and Gens. Holcomb and Torrey observe an amphibious landing at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Dismantled artillery is carried ashore. Sec. Knox inspects a Browning automatic rifle as Gen. Holcomb looks on. Part 3 shows how fire from thermite bombs should be fought. Part 4, a "Corsair" fighter plane lands in the Potomac River at Quantico, Va., and the pilot is rescued. Part 5 shows Marines on liberty in Miami, Fla.

Philip Huston Torrey (b. July 18, 1884, Fort Douglas, Utah-d. June 7, 1968) spent his early military service in Cuba, Mexico and Haiti.
