Torrey, Philip Huston, 1884-1968
Philip Huston Torrey (b. July 18, 1884, Fort Douglas, Utah-d. June 7, 1968) spent his early military service in Cuba, Mexico and Haiti. He was commandant of Marine Corps Schools from July 1939 to January 1941, then again from 1944 to 1946. He retired from Marine Corps service in August 1946.
