Lyman Louis Lemnitzer (August 29, 1899 – November 12, 1988) was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He received his commission in the Coast Artillery Corps from West Point in 1920 and was an instructor at West Point from 1926 to 1930, and again in 1934 and 1935. Charles Kenon Gailey (May 14, 1901-May 21, 1966) was born in Conyers, Georgia. He received his commission in the infantry from West Point in 1920, and advanced to the rank of brigadier general in January 1945. He commanded the 43rd U.S. Division from 1952 to 1954, then commanded the Military District of Washington from 1959 to 1961. Gailey retired from Army service in June 1961. George Henry Decker (1902-1980) was born in Catskill, New York. He earned a B.S. degree from Lafayette College in 1924 and commissioned in the infantry in the same year. In 1937 he graduated from Command and General Staff School. He was deputy chief of the Third Army and then the Sixth Army between 1942 and 1943.
