A funeral ceremony for eighty Korean soldiers, part of the UN team guarding the DMZ, who perished in a snowslide. Generals Lyman L. Lemnitzer, Gen. I D White, CG 8th Army, Maj. Gen. Carl F. Fritzsche, Chief KMAG, are among the Americans attending. Koreans carry boxes of ashes with pictures of the dead. Scenes of the altar with the containers and the pictures displayed. Lyman Louis Lemnitzer (August 29, 1899 – November 12, 1988) was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.
