Seq: Ridgway chats with Maj Gen George W. Read, Jr. CO 2nd Amd Div, Gen Handy and other officers as they watch simulated tank and infantry assault at Baumholder Military Sub-Post. Ridgway chats with tank commander; Ridgway and Read examine a tank. Seq: Ridgway is greeted at EUCOM Hq as he leaves auto by Handy and others. Pan of officers on review stand. Handy and Ridgway prepare to inspect Honor Guard. RV, Ridgway watches Honor Guard in drill. Seq: Ridgway and party drive on Camp Baulholder road in jeep. Ridgway chats with some officers. Ridgway, Read, other officers view tank. Tank commander sits in tank. Ridgway climbs out of a tank. Seq: Ridgway followed by Handy enter parked L-17B plane, engine starts. Officers on strip salute and wave. Seq: Ridgway and Handy enter review stand. Ridgway greets officer commanding Air Police platoon. Ridgway and Handy return to review stand. EUCOM Honor Guard perform close order drill. Band, Army, Navy and AF contingents pass in review. Seq: Ridgway is greeted by Handy and others as he leaves C-47 plane which taxies on strip. He enters auto. VS, Ridgway troops the line at EUCOM Hq. RV, Honor Guard performs drill, framed by Army, Navy AF Color Guard and children looking on. Seq: HSs, Ridgway's jeep convoy drives on road at Baumholder. Ridgway and others are briefed by an officer, they watch maneuvers held by tanks and infantry of 2nd Armd Div. M-26 tank drives in area. Ridgway examines a new T-48 tank, leaves with others in jeep. He chats, shakes hands with Eddy and Handy, enters L-17B which taxies.
