There is no ascription to the individual who assembled the book or to its donor.Articles run from September 1931 to August 1941. Ina Sizer Cassidy, wife and widow of Gerald Cassidy, wrote almost all the articles. They touch most of the art and artist of the early Twentieth Century.

Ina Sizer Cassidy was the director of the Federal Writers Project in New Mexico. She and her husband, Gerald Cassidy, were part of the Santa Fe arts community.
