Records of three Las Cruces-based surveying companies: B&M Surveys, Botsford Land Surveying, Inc. and the Land Group, Inc. The Land Group bought out Botsford Land Surveying in 1996 and was dissolved around 2000. This collection also includes some survey records from Gilbert Chavez and Donald Wiese.

Jim Botsford, Jorge Moy and Gilbert Chavez worked for the Donald Wiese Surveying Company in the early 1970s. In 1975 Botsford founded a company called B&M Surveys in 1975 with Moy and Chavez. Chavez and Moy started their own surveying businesses in 1980 and 1984 respectively, and Botsford continued on with Botsford Land Surveying Inc.
