Jason F. Brevoort, a physician, was born in New York c. 1810, and moved to Ohio with his wife, Sara. There, they had three sons: William H. (1838-1918), Edwin L. (1844-1882), and Albert. William and Edwin attended North Western Christian University (now Butler University) in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduating in 1862 and 1865, respectively.
