This collection consists of the inauguration materials of Presidents Warren, Koehler, Lindaman, Mounce, De Jong, and Robinson. The presidents of Whitworth College have served the college in many different ways. They have worked hard to provide an education of the mind and heart. Seventeen men have officially served as presidents of Whitworth College.

Frank Furniss Warren, son of Robert Hopkins and Alice May (Furniss) Warren, was born November 23, 1899 at Gilead, Michigan. His father was a clergyman of the Free Methodist Church. He received a B.A. from Seattle Pacific College in 1922, pursued religious training at the New York Biblical Seminary in 1922-23, and received an M. A. degree from Drew University in 1929. Robert H. Mounce was born in 1922 and grew up as the son of a college professor in Minot, North Dakota. His terminal degree in higher education was the Ph.D. in Biblical Criticism from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. During the next eight years he was chairman of the Department of Biblical Studies at Bethel College, St. Paul, Minnesota. At the same time, he launched his career as an author.
