Frederick A. Kiehle Slide Collection 1930-1939

A graduate of the University of Minnesota in 1901, Kiehle moved out to Portland in 1908 to open a practice and was an instructor in University of Oregon Medical School Department of Ophthalmology from 1912 - 1918 and then Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology from 1918 - 1929. He headed the department until 1945 when he achieved the title of Professor Emeritus.

Frederick Andrew Kiehle was born in Preston, Minnesota 1872 August 10. He received his BS and MD from the University of Minnesota in 1901 and moved to Portland, Oregon in 1908 to open a practice specializing in diseases of the ears, eyes, nose and throat. He was an instructor at the University of Oregon Medical School in the Department of Ophthalmology from 1912-1918 and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology from 1918-1929.
