The current Graduate School of Education was known as the State College of Education from 1948 to 1968. In 1968 the name was changed to the Graduate School of Education. During the period covered by these records, the deans of the Graduate School of Education were Asahel Davis Woodruff (1948-1968), Stephen P. Hencley (1968-1976), and Robert L. Erdman (1976-1983). This collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, and project files from the Office of the Dean of the Graduate School of Education.
