The Academic Rankings Reference Collection contains files of magazines and newspaper and magazine clippings concerning the academic ranking of Duke and other schools. The bulk of the collection consists of copies of the U.S. News & World Report publications on undergraduate and graduate schools. Richard Halleck Brodhead became Duke's ninth president on July 1, 2004, after a 32-year career at Yale University. In addition to serving as president, he is a professor of English at Duke. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he graduated from Yale in 1968 and received his Ph.D. there in 1972. He then joined the Yale faculty, where he became the A.
