H.V. (H. Vose) Greenough, Jr., (1912-1976) was the founder and owner of Technichord Records, a small recording company in Brookline, Massachusetts. Greenough graduated from Harvard University, served in the Navy, and in the early 1950s worked for the Haydn Society in Vienna, Austria, as chief recording engineer. After teaching acoustics at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, Greenough returned to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to work as a consultant. He died in1976 at the age of 64. ...

E. Power Biggs was born in Essex, England, on March 29, 1906. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He began to concertize in the United States in 1930, and by 1937 had become an American citizen. By 1960, he was a well-known recitalist, broadcaster, and recording artist with Columbia Studios.
