Louis Comfort Tiffany (February 18, 1848 – January 17, 1933) was an American artist and designer who worked in the decorative arts and is best known for his work in stained glass. Alfred Mitchell (1832-1911) served in the Union Army during the Civil War, and was promoted to major in 1863. He married Annie O. Tiffany and became trustee of Tiffany and Company. Alfred Mitchell was the youngest son of the Reverend Alfred Mitchell and Lucretia M. (Woodbridge) Mitchell.
