David Ribacoff, was born in Bukara, Russia, one of eight children in a traditional Sephardic family. He and his family left Bukara and immigrated to Egypt in 1928. He lived in Egypt, and became a member of the Adly Street Synagogue in Cairo. David Ribacoff married his wife Lisette in 1955.
