In an ALS, 1895 Feb. 28, from Otto Richter, Dresden, to Mary Banks Burrell, London, Dr. Richter copies Wagner's retort from the manuscript. Richter encloses a copy he has made of a letter from Wagner to theater authorities answering criticism of his scheme. 2 documents in the hand of Mrs. Burrell include portions of the manuscript which were omitted from the publication and a penciled notation at the end of the manuscript written by Kammermusicus Julius Rühlmann. The manuscript itself is not included in this collection.
