Franz (or Frans) Klefeker (1801-1882) of Hamburg, and later, Berlin, Germany was a merchant and customs official. He married Johanna Sophie Elenore Von Hanffstengel. Their daughter, Luise (1829- ) married George Alexander Saxer of New York in 1857. The couple settled in St. Louis and later, Ft. Wayne, where Saxer taught at the Concordia Collegium.
