Allchin was born in 1846 and received his education privately and at University College, London, where he studied medicine. He went on to become consulting physician at numerous London hospitals and examiner for several universities around England. He was a Fellow, and at one point Senior Censor, of the Royal College of Physicians, London. As well as a long connection with the University of London, Allchin was Physician-Extraordinary to King Edward VII. He died in 1911. From the guid...
