Light Shipping Ltd was incorporated as a limited liability company in c1920 as shipowners in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland. The company operated a number of tugs on the river Clyde and by 1971 was in competition with those of the Clyde Shipping Co Ltd , ship owners, Glasgow, Scotland. In 1971 , the companies entered into an agreement to pool their tug operations with Light Shipping Ltd becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Ross & Marshall Ltd , shipowners, Greenock, themselves a wholly owne...
