Robert Edward Lee (1807-1870) served as General of the Confederate Army in the U.S. Civil War and was president of Washington College in Lexington, Virginia from 1865 to 1870. Felix Miller and his family lived in Davidson County, N.C. During the Civil War, Felix Miller served in Company H, 48th North Carolina Regiment in General John R. Cooke's brigade.
