Donald Adams Cadzow worked on expeditions and archeological excavations for George Gustav Heye and the Museum of the American Indian from 1916 until 1927. Between 1917 and 1919, Cadzow, collected artifacts and archaeological materials from the Copper and Kogmollok Eskimo, the Loucheux, Slavey, and Woodland Cree of Alberta, Canada. The Baffin Island Expedition (also known as the Putnum Expedition and the Morrissey Expedition) departed Rye, New York, in June 1927, and returned in early October 1927.
