Utah Cooperative Extension Division photograph collection, 1920-1950 (bulk 1930-1945).

This collection consists of 187 black & white photographs taken by the Utah Cooperative Extension Division from the 1920s to the 1940s. They show beautification projects in Smithfield and Wellsville (including school and church grounds), food preparation, music instruction, cleaning techniques, agricultural scenes, 4-H judging, reservoirs, trees and orchards, livestock, and sewing. Some of the photos were taken on the campus of Utah State University, but most were either taken in Cache County, Utah or the Brigham City to Ogden area.

These photographs were removed from the William Peterson material that is part of the Utah State University Archives (Utah Agricultural Experiment Station. Directors Files 18:17). Peterson (1874-1957) graduated from the Agricultural College of Utah (now Utah State University) in 1899. He was an instructor and professor at USU from 1899 until 1946.
