Anna Earnest appears to have been an employee at Ezra Meeker's Pioneer Exhibit during the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in 1909. Meeker, who was then active in promoting the Oregon Trail, operated a concession stand and memorabilia display near the Pay Streak amusement area.

The Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition (AYPE) was held in Seattle, Washington in 1909. It was intended to show off the growth and development of the Pacific Northwest, Seattle especially, and to display the value of trade with the Pacific Rim. The AYPE grounds were built on the University of Washington campus, situated on Lake Washington. Over 80,000 people attended the AYPE on opening day in June 1909, and by closing day (October 16, 1909) 3.7 million people had paid to see attractions such as the Igorrote Village, and the Indian and Eskimo exhibits.

From the description of Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition monthly pass for Anna Earnest, 1909. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 612475809
