Thomas Evans was a Quaker minister and peacemaker from Burlington County, New Jersey. He was born to William and Elizabeth Evans on the 22nd day of the 4th month 1693. His first marriage was to Esther Haines; the couple had three children together. In his second marriage to Rebecca Owen, he fathered five children. Evans was a member of Evesham Monthly Meeting. After serving in the ministry about sixty-five years, he died on January 21st, 1783, near the age of 90.
