John Reeve was a Quaker minister from New Jersey. He was born to Joseph and Eleanor Reeve around the year 1729. About the 28th year of his age, came forth in the ministry, to the satisfaction of Friends. He visited the meetings of Friends in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey generally; and some of the Meetings in the Southern States. He bore a Testimony against the prevailing spirit of the World, the superfluity thereof, and the sorrowful deviations amongst us, from our Principles and Professions. He quietly departed the 4th of the 1st Month 1816 in the 87th year of his age.
