Stewart, Elga Battell, 1863-1926
Daughter of U.S. Senator John W. Stewart and Emma (Battell) Stewart, of Middlebury, Vt. Elga Stewart lived some of the time in Boston. She was mentally ill, and from about her 30s on, she spent much of her life in hospitals or homes for the disturbed.
