Sprague, Frank J. (Frank Julian), 1857-1934
Variant namesFrank Julian Sprague (1857-1934) was an inventor and engineer known as the "father of electric traction" for his creation of the first city-wide electric streetcar system and the development of the multiple-unit system for electric railroads.
