John Randolph (1773-1833) served in the U.S. Congress from Virginia intermittently from 1799 to 1833.

Nathaniel Macon (1757-1837) was a North Carolina legislator who served in the U.S. Congress, 1791-1815 and U.S. Senate, 1815-1828.

James Mercer Garnett (1770-1843) was a Democratic Congressman from Virginia, 1805-1809, a partisan of John Randolph, agricultural reformer, and educator.

Creed Taylor (1766-1836), a political sponsor of John Randolph, conducted a law school at his Virginia estate, "Needham." He also was judge in the Superior Courts of Chancery for the Richmond and Lynchburg districts.
