Karol T. Jaskólski (1908-1972) was born near Krakow, Poland. He received a university education and was a faculty member at the University of Lvov prior to World War II. After the war, he came to the United States and settled in Boston, Massachusetts. There he edited the Polish American newspaper Kuryer Codzienny, and, when it ceased publication, founded his paper Gazeta Polonii. Jaskolski was active in many Polish American organizations in Boston and for more than twenty years directed the "Polish Variety Hour" radio program. He also taped many programs for Voice of America.
