Tunnard, W. H. (William H.), 1837-
Variant namesBorn in New Jersey, Will H. Tunnard settled in Louisiana early in life and served in the 3rd Louisiana Infantry Regiment during the U.S. Civil War. Following the war, Tunnard forged a long career as a journalist in Louisiana, serving as the editor of the Shreveport Times for some 18 years. He later edited the Southern Sentinel in Winnfield and several other Louisiana newspapers.
