The Law School was founded in 1929, and in 1932 it was accredited by the American Bar Association. In 1954 the school moved from Boston to the Chestnut Hill campus and in 1975 it moved to the Newton campus. Since 1969 the Law School has awarded the J.D. degree to its graduates.
