Broun, Heywood Hale, 1918-2001
Variant namesHeywood Hale Broun (1918-) worked as a sports writer and actor before becoming a sports commentator for CBS Television in 1965. He later had his own radio program "Heywood Hale Broun on Books" from 1973-1980. He is also author of the books "Whose Little Boy Are You? A Memoir of the Broun Family" (1983) and "A Studied Madness" (1965), a collection of essays on sports and theater.
