Whaling vessel, out of Sag Harbor, N.Y., mastered by Daniel Jagger, on voyage from 4 July 1845-27 Aug. 1847 to the Tristan, East Cape, Dutch Banks, New Holland, New Zealand, Japan, and Malishes Banks whaling grounds; owner-agent: John Budd; built at New York, N.Y., 1826; bought from New York, N.Y., 1843, for the Sag Harbour, N.Y. whaling fleet (1843-1850); sold to New Bedford, Mass, 1850; whaling as ship out of New Bedford (1850-1869); altered to a bark ca. 1872; sunk in Arctic in 1876.
