World Association of Mothers for Peace.
Founded by Victoria Booth Demarest in Spokane, Washington, the World Association of Mothers for Peace appealed to mothers worldwide to unite against war. The Association held Christian principles to be a means to end war, and to control atomic energy. Victoria Booth Demarest was a grandaughter of William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army.
