Latino Project (Philadelphia, Pa.)
In 1979, the Latino Project joined with other organizations in Philadelphia to form the Hispanics for an Accurate Survey Coalition to remedy census undercounts of the city's Puerto Rican and Latino populations. The Coalition sponsored an independent survey of the Spanish-speaking population in designated North Philadelphia census tracts.
