The Center on Women and Public Policy was established in May, 1985 in the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, with Arvonne Fraser as senior fellow. It is the first center at a major U.S. University to be devoted speficically to women's policy issues. The Center's focus is worldwide,and it assesses the impact of women's organizations on the status of women.
