Helen Nicolay was an author of American biography and history. Her works included juvenile biographies of Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and Ulysses S. Grant. She also wrote a biography of her father, John G. Nicolay, who was secretary to President Lincoln.
