Philanthropist and supporter of local culture and history; Ivancovich was active with the Arizona Historical Society overseeing several publications about the Spanish colonization of the Pimeria Alta region. She was involved in the excavation of Kino's burial site, the 1950s restoration of San Xavier Mission, and established the Southwestern Foundation for Education and Historic Preservation.
