Deric Nusbaum, also Deric O'Bryan (b. February 13, 1913, Paris, France-d. October 4, 1987, Bath, Avon, England), archaeologist, was a member of the Baffin Island Expedition in 1927 aboard the Schooner Effie M. Morrissey at the age of fourteen. In 1939, his mother, Aileen Baehrens O'Bryan, divorced his stepfather archaeologist Jesse L. Nusbaum. Deric Nusbaum changed his last name to O'Bryan after his mother's divorce. He pursued a long career in archaeology after his experience on the Baffin Island expedition.
