Pickard, Samuel T. (Samuel Thomas), 1828-1915
Variant namesSamuel T. Pickard was born in Massachusetts, and worked as a printer, editor, and an author. He served as editor of the Portland Transcript in Maine for some forty years. He married John Greenleaf Whittier's niece, and became Whittier's literary executor, as well as writing several books about him.
