He begins Volume 1 August 21, 1909, with the note that the First Colvin Reunion was held at Northern Electric Park, Clark's Summit, PA. At that time information was collected and incorporated into a chart of family connections. On August 22, 1909, a trip to the family burial grounds provided additional information, taken from headstones found there, thus beginning four volumes of documentation on the Colvin family.
