Wetherill, Jones, and Roberts families.
The Wetherill, Jones, Roberts, and inter-connected families resided primarily in Burlington, New Jersey, and Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (including Merion and Whitpaine Townships), 1683-1904. Members of the Wetherill family included John, Christopher (who came to Burlington, NJ, in 1682), Thomas, Joseph, Mercy, Samuel, and his niece, Elizabeth Wetherill. Samuel's daughter, Mary, married Philadelphian Isaac Jones, a merchant who also served as treasurer for the Wiccacoa Meadow Company. The relationship of the Wetherill and Jones families to the Roberts family of Whitpaine Township is unclear.
