Edna Davis Romig was a poet and educator. Born in Ohio and educated at DePauw University and the University of Wisconsin, she had a long career as an English instructor at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Colorado. She also published several books of poetry, as well as numerous individual poems and articles in such journals as Atlantic, Yale Review, and Poetry.

Edna Davis Romig was born on January 16, 1889. She was a professor of English for 36 years, most of them spent at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She published several volumes of poetry and a book on Walt Whitman. She also wrote short fiction and travel reminiscences but did not publish them. She was friends with Robert and Elinor Frost, who asked her to write their biography. She researched the biography but did not complete it. She retired from teaching in 1961 and moved to Estes Park, Colorado.
