Oral history project was started in 1977 by by Elton Bruins (Hope College religion professor) to record the thoughts and experiences of retired Hope College professors. The project has expanded to include local ethnic groups, business people, and Reformed Church clergy. In 1991 the project was placed under the direction of the Joint Archives of Holland.
