Hollenbach, John William, 1913-
Variant namesJohn W. Hollenbach received English degrees from Muhlenberg College (A.B., 1934), Columbia University (A.M., 1935), and the University of Wisconsin (Ph. D., 1941). He joined the faculty at Hope College in 1945 as associate professor of English. He taught English until his retirement in 1978. He also served the college as Dean of the College (1947-1955), Academic Vice President (1957-1965), and chair of the English Department (1966-1971).
