Keppel, Ruth, 1896-1993,
Keppel, trained as a violinist, devoted her retirement years to studying and writing about the history of Holland, Michigan. She lived in Holland most of her life. Her grandfather, Teunis Keppel, settled there in 1845, two years before the Rev. Albertus C. Van Raalte brought a small group of Dutch settlers to Holland to start a colony.
