Alyea, Dorothy C. (Dorothy Collins), 1898-1974
Variant namesCollins (1926-1994) was a vocalist with the radio and television shows "Your Hit Parade" from 1950-1957. She also appeared in a number of other television programs and musicals.

Poet; Alyea who lived in Montclair, New Jersey, was a fellow of the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire, won the first prize at the Rochester Poetry Festival in 1967, and in 1973 won the membership contest of the Poetry Society of America. She died in New York in July 1974.
