Reform Club (New York, N.Y.)
Variant namesRichard Rogers Bowker (1848-1933) was editor of the New York Evening Mail newspaper, editor and publisher of Publishers Weekly and the Library Journal, and executive with several power companies, including the Edison Electric Illuminating Co. of New York. He was active in political reform and was a founder of the Independent Republican Mugwump movement. He also served as secretary of the American Free Trade League.

The City Reform Club was organized at the home of Theodore Roosevelt as a non-partisan club to promote better municipal government in the city of New York.
