Printmaker and art educator, born in Indianapolis, Ind. Garo Antreasian's works have been shown at exhibitions in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Library of Congress, Dallas, and Indiana. As an educator he occupied positions at the Herron School of Art, Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles, Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, and the University of New Mexico. He also served on the Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees.

Garo Antreasian, printmaker and art educator, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in the year 1922. He received his B.F.A. in 1948 from the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. He completed additional studies at Will Barnet and Stanley William Hayter Institution, 1948-49. Upon completing, his education, Garo Antreasian began his career as art educator and artist. As an educator, Garo Antreasian occupied positions at the Herron School of Art, Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles and Albuquerque, and the University of New Mexico.

As an artist, Garo Antreasian focused on printmaking processes. He became well renowned for his works. His works were shown at exhibitions in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Library of Congress, Dallas, and Indiana. His works were also the subject of one-man exhibitions throughout the United States. He and Clinton Adams published The Tamarind Book of Lithography : Art and Techniques, Larry N. Abrams, Inc., 1970.
